I think I need to add Saba to the list of must see places. We tend to like beach vacations - something Saba doesn't have - but it just looks like an interesting place.

In my opinion it's the only reason to go to Sint Maarten.

An arid tropical paradise
What do you think of when someone says caribbean island? Beaches, lush mountains, rainforests? How about sand, cactus and succulents? I was surprised so see how arid St Barts was. I'm not complaining. Weather was great, beaches were wonderful, people were friendly..... I just wasn't expecting it to be so dry.

We landed from the bay side and it was an awesome approach. Note the guy standing on the beach no more than 25 feet from the runway.
Enjoying an evening stroll
I love the lighting in this one. We went window shopping after all the stores were closed for the day. That's one way to ensure you don't spend too much!
Gustavia at night
The streets were quiet and the curtains were drawn. We went for a midnight stroll with the camera.

Shell Beach - Saint Barths
Probably one of the coolest beaches. I've never seen so many shells in all my life. Great place for lunch and also for sunsets.
